Who does the translation
The translation is done and certified by a sworn translator (tłumacz przysięgły) — our partner, entered on the Polish Ministry of Justice list. Only their seal and signature make it official. DocsCenter takes the order, checks requirements and tracks deadlines; we do not certify translations ourselves. Any translator can be checked on the Ministry's public list.
Which documents
Passports and ID cards, birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates, diplomas and school certificates with supplements, driving licences, criminal record certificates, medical records, court judgments, notarial documents, powers of attorney, employment records, contracts and company documents. Stamps, seals and apostilles on the document are translated too.
For which institutions
Transcription and marriages at the registry office (USC), residence cards via MOS and the voivodeship office, driving licence exchange, diploma recognition and university admission, courts and lawyers, notaries, ZUS, banks and employers. Foreign-language documents are normally filed in Poland together with a sworn translation.
How the price works
Sworn translation volume is counted in billable pages: 1,125 characters including spaces, with every started page counted as full. The final price depends on language, urgency, number of stamps and legibility. We quote it after assessing the document, before work starts.
From the original or a scan
The translator can work from the original, a certified copy or a scan and records this in the certification. For MOS a translation from a scan is usually enough; a registry office transcribing a certificate normally wants to see the original. We ask before ordering so nothing has to be redone.
Electronic sworn translation
A sworn translator can certify a translation with a qualified electronic signature. Such a file is handy for online applications, e.g. in MOS, and for e-mailing. If the institution requires paper, we provide a stamped paper copy.
