What a repeat certificate is
If a civil-status certificate is lost, damaged or needed in the new format, Ukraine issues a repeat certificate of state registration of the civil-status act. It has the same force as the first one. An extract from the State Register of Civil Status Acts can also be obtained.
Who can get one
According to Ukraine's Ministry of Justice (24 June 2026): the person the record concerns, parents or guardians, a representative with a notarial power of attorney, or a lawyer. Abroad — through a Ukrainian consulate; online — via the Diia portal with an electronic signature, delivered by Ukrposhta.
How we help
We pick the route: consulate, Diia or a representative in Ukraine. If a representative is needed, we arrange a notarial power of attorney in Poland and its sworn translation into Ukrainian. Then — delivery to Wrocław, an apostille if needed, and a sworn translation into Polish.
Which documents
Birth, marriage, divorce, death and name-change certificates; civil registry extracts; criminal record certificates; duplicates of education documents — through the school or its legal successor. We work only with documents issued in Ukraine.
Timelines and costs
These depend on the route, the region and whether the archive survived. We quote the total cost before we start — as one figure. If the archive is lost, we'll explain how to restore the record.
