01Do you do the translations yourselves?
No. Translations are done and certified by a sworn translator — our partner on the Polish Ministry of Justice list. We take the order, check the institution's requirements, track the deadline and hand you the finished document.
02How much does a sworn translation cost?
It depends on the language, length and urgency. Length is counted in billable pages of 1,125 characters including spaces. Describe your document and we'll quote the exact amount and timeline before work starts.
03Can a translation be made from a scan?
Yes, a sworn translator may translate from a copy or scan and states this in the certification. Some institutions, such as a registry office (USC) transcribing a certificate, require the original to be shown. We check this in advance.
04Do Ukrainian documents need an apostille in Poland?
The 1993 Poland–Ukraine legal assistance agreement (Art. 15) exempts official documents from legalisation, so Polish registry and voivodeship offices usually accept Ukrainian certificates without an apostille — with a sworn translation. Universities, employers and other countries, such as Spain or Germany, often do require one.
05I don't speak Polish. Can I sign a power of attorney at a notary?
Yes. Under Art. 87 of the Notaries Act, if a participant does not know Polish, the notary translates the deed personally or with an interpreter. We find a notary and a sworn translator for your language and book one shared appointment.
06How do I get a duplicate Ukrainian birth certificate while in Poland?
A repeat certificate can be obtained through a Ukrainian consulate, online via Diia with an electronic signature, or through a representative in Ukraine holding a notarial power of attorney. We advise on the best route and arrange the power of attorney, translation and apostille.
07How much is a notarial power of attorney?
It depends on the type of power of attorney, the number of certified copies and whether an interpreter is needed. We quote the total before the appointment — no surprises at the notary.
